Code of Conduct and
Disciplinary Procedures

Personal Appearance

  1. This shall be directed by the Club. 
  2. The swimmer will be expected to wear a dark coloured costume and a PBSSS hat at all Club Galas.
  3. The Team Manager shall direct the team as to the wearing of team kit, when assembling, travelling, at functions or as otherwise required.
     

Attendance

  1. Members will be advised by their Coach as to the number of sessions that they will be required to attend.
  2. If prior notice is possible, it is expected that you inform the Coach if it is not possible to attend any sessions or galas.
  3. It is essential that swimmers are punctual at all times and ready to start the session when instructed by the coach. 
     

Personal Conduct and Behaviour

  1. Any behaviour or personal conduct that is not of a high standard or does not project a favourable image of the sport or club shall be deemed as totally unacceptable.
  2. Language in all situations whilst engaged in any activities with the club must be appropriate and socially acceptable.
  3. Swimmers will be expected to train to the best of their ability at all times (except when there are injuries or any other debilitating circumstances) if this is not possible then the coach must always be kept informed prior to any training sessions/galas.
     

Disciplinary Procedures

If the Team Manager, Coach or Committee feel that the above Code of Conduct is not adhered to then the following procedure will be put into place: 

  1. 1st time of breaking the Code of Conduct:  Verbal warning
  1. 2nd time of breaking the Code of Conduct:  Asked to leave the session/Gala or activity taking place at the time.

Letter to inform parent/carer of the immediate suspension from the session/gala will follow. 

  1. 3rd time of breaking the Code of Conduct:  Suspension from the club for a period of time, determined by the Committee.

Letter to inform parent/carer of the suspension from the club will follow.

    • If the Committee deem it fit that a swimmer should be moved into another group in order to address the problems occurring then this must be accepted by the offending swimmer/parent/carer.
